CarteBlanche allows you to send SMS text messages to your clients. This feature can be used to announce special offers, to remind clients that they have an appointment, to send a birthday message, etc.

Before using SMS text messaging, you must first set up an account with an SMS gateway. CarteBlanche is currently set up to interface with nine gateways. These are:

  1. Connection software, a UK based gateway with worldwide coverage (check their Website to see if your country is covered).
  2. messagemedia, based in Australia.
  3. Clickatell, based in South Africa.
  4. eTXT, based in New Zealand.
  5. WEBTEXT, based in Ireland, with worldwide coverage.
  6. WinSMS, based in South Africa.
  7. TextMagic, based in the UK.
  8. directSMS, based in the Australia.
  9. TextOutSMS, based in the Australia.

The SMS messaging function in CarteBlanche creates an email which is sent to the SMS gateway, from where it is distributed as SMS messages to the recipients specified in the email.
